Title: Stock Sledgehammer DP
Post by: Ra2Winner999 on May 07, 2018, 03:09:10 PM: So I went on RA2Wiki and saw the article about DP. I did some calculations, and... Oh my. Sledgehammers do more damage than maces! (I know in dsl sledges are good, this is stock!) Why do people think maces and iron spikes do more damage than sledgehammers?

Post by: 090901 on May 07, 2018, 03:29:39 PM: Sledgehammers do about the same amount of damage as Maces and Irons for 3x the weight, I don't know what calculation you did but they are really really way off.

Sledgehamer = 1 Concussion, 1000hp, 30kg
Iron spike = 0.8 Piercing, 0.1 Concussion, 1000hp, 10kg
Mace = 0.5 Piercing, 0.5 Concussion, 1000hp, 10kg

Since concussion damage is somewhat weaker than piercing for some reason, one could argue that Sledges do even less damage than Maces and Irons too.

honestly math doesn't matter, we've had enough trial and error to know what's good in which situations
