Title: Stacking
Post by: Ra2Winner999 on March 25, 2018, 03:40:17 PM
Sage: Stacks 2 supervolts in less than 30 seconds

Me: Can’t stack supervolts even after 10 minutes of rotating the camera

Is there some kind of “secret” advanced players use?

P.S. I watched the tutorial.

Secret 1: go to the overview tab, scroll in all the way, and then don't have the mouse hover over the window with the robot in it until you are attaching the object.

Secret 2: try different angles if any one of them isn't giving you any results.

Secret 3: most stacks will only occur when 2/3 of the dimensions are lined up. In other words, put the object perfectly inside what you want to stack, and then only move along 1 axis.

Secret 4: movepixel (https://gametechmods.com/forums/downloads/?sa=view;down=256).

The True Secret: Past what I've already said, its purely luck based. If you are trying it, you will get it. Eventually.

Scroll in all the way using the paint chassis tab
Move your mouse like you have parkinsons until you see it stack for a split second, then wiggle your mouse around the area where it stacked successfully until you get the spot perfect. It's worth noting that to stack the two components must usually (but not always) be perfectly on top of each other, or very close to it.
It helps to use a good gaming mouse at a lower DPI so you can accurately make small movements with the mouse without pixel skipping. Decent laptop trackpads can work too

I fired up stock for the first time in at least a year to make this gif for you, hopefully it helps

also its pretty certain that for some unknown reason it works better on certain PCs than others. I know in my game I can do the exact same thing badger does and it takes 20 mins or so. it's pretty much luck honestly.

This is true, on my old system it was a LOT harder to stack.

I can vouch for this, we all used to hang out on AIM and Sage would beg Scrap to build cool new HS for him.
