spinner motor ideas
« on: August 01, 2012, 02:47:16 AM »
I'm attempting to make a spinner bot of some kind. Right now I am using the duel perm 132 gear box. I added the son of whyatchi spin blade with three dsl#4 hammer. But this doesn't even stand up to Grog the Vengeful. Any other suggestion for a good motor for a spinner? Or any other suggestions?

That's the best non-cheatbot motor you can get. It might be the way you're using it on the bot that's causing a downfall - I know for sure I can take Grog very easily using a DSL bar on a dual perm with 2 70kg hammers. Feel free to upload a pic of it and put it here or start a showcase :P

yep youre probably not using a powerful enough motor for 210 kg of weaponry, try a dual perm or use less weapons because a motor can only spin so much

How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.

Press F11, then it'll go into the 'screenshots' folder of your RA2 directory - then, open it up, save it as a png (bmps are too big) and upload it here! :D

I'm still open to ideas. It doesn't have a paint job because its not finished. The hammers on the end usually break off against grog. I have two of the big big batteries and it does about 0-60 in a year but its ok lol. Is there any better way to make it faster? Or hit harder? Maybe these hammers on the end aren't the best. They are the dsl hammer #4.

Why not open up a DSL showcase? It'll be the best way to gather advice.
BUT, here's some generic advice. Do not use Piglets as drive motors, you need NPC's or NPC Fasts on this, maybe with gripper wheels like Vlads or Hypnos.
You don't need to use the big batteries - any spin motor can be powered sufficiently by it's own ant battery - so this needs 3 ant batteries, maybe 4. This may help it.
Also, you could free up a lot of weight by making the chassis a lot shorter.
