Title: So...
Post by: System32 on November 29, 2008, 07:44:26 PM
Where can I find SCv4? I'd like to see what the new bots are like.

have you guys been asleep? starcores been gone for a long time. until he comes back (i dont know when) it won't be finished.

as for what bots were updated, theres a buttload, and i wont get into that right now. if someone else wants to tell you, thats fine.

one major change was all bots now have dsa unless they had plastic before.

how do you know those things are accurate? remember the time when it said last visit 1964?

anyway, even if he was here, did he say anything? did he do anything when he was here?

First of all, I know because I saw him on that day, second, I don't know if he did anything. But I know that he didn't just strait up leave forever like other members. He still visits from time-to-time.

Just for reference, and I don't know if I should be revealing this or not, but I was one of the beta testers for SCv4.  I believe I may still have it floating around my hard drvie somewhere.  As for releasing it without permission, though ...

Yes... We are better off waiting for Starcore's return.

It will build up the suspense.

Edit; I just got the BBEANS 3 bots from Click, and if the Jubjub bird that was included in there (most likely by accident so no, I will not share a pic) is any indication of the amout of change for SCv4. We screwed.

yes, pretty much. I've had it for a while. theres even a team i redid completely in there, along with some other remakes. if anyone remembers luigica, he also did plenty of remakes for scv4. the new tempus fugit is the most insane LW ever. Fury is also just as insane. Maelstrom has like 4 plows, castor armor, and a lot of spikes everywhere. theres a new SnS starcore made named spin doctor, and plenty of others as well. Oh, and all the bots have DSA (unless they need plastic for weight)

Imagine Jubjub bird with:
2 RAD drive.
2 side plows for protection
2 casters at front (presumably for protection)
5-6 razors on Hammer.

gulp.

Tempus Fugit was in too. Its invertible, but that self-righting plow thing just immobilizes it (when I use it). I guess I can post pics if that isn't a problem with anyone. Just Tempus Fugit and Jubjub Bird. As a little teaser.

the plow doesnt self right. it shouldnt.

I know, it drives perfect upside down, but then it gets stuck on the plow. I guess that is why they need beta testers.

wait, it's using a plow to flip it's opponents?

NO. its for protection.

And supposed self-righting purposes, although, when used, it screws Tempus Fugit out of all of the chances it had when it got flipped.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! IT'S FOR PROTECTION! THAT'S WHY THE DARN THING IS INVERTIBLE! SO IT DOESN'T HAVE TO SELF RIGHT!

But it has a control in the wiring labeled "srimech", that makes the Snapper II that the plow and motors are on move up.
Title: So...
Post by: Naryar on December 03, 2008, 05:59:59 AM
And you really think that a Snapper II is powerful enough to self right a LW? That burst motor's only good use is for overlapping/bursting spin motors.
Title: So...
Post by: Somebody on December 03, 2008, 06:10:22 AM
I didn't make the control! I asked Clickbeetle for the BBEANS 3 bots for the Wiki. Included were Jubjub bird and Tempus Fugit, from SCv4. I looked at the control, and I am pretty sure that the one that flipped the plow was named srimech.

Post by: Gigafrost on December 03, 2008, 12:39:12 PM
Lol... Yes that is done sometimes in Starcore's bots, but the motor is never strong enough to actually lift the bot.

It's no big deal if you post pictures of TF and Jubjub bird.  I made a video featuring the new Tempus Fugit a long time ago (just after BBEANS3) as a promotional thing, per Starcore's request.  That's why I had the new TF on my computer in the first place.  It was an earlier version that still needed AI tweaking, which is why the srimech is all wrong.

And the new Jubjub Bird is basically the same as my other showcased LW Flaying Mantis.  I just used one hammer instead of two, and used the extra weight for caster armor.

I'm terrified now. That thing is like an invertible Ridagoon.

Tempus Fugit kicks way more butt than before.
