Title: So what would you reccomend as a difficult bot to fight?
Post by: Kujii on May 27, 2011, 10:56:57 PM
I'm attempting to either find a potent robot in-game, or that I can download to fight against, that would inevitable pwn me over and over unless I actually made something worth fighting. I currently don't think my bots are too effective, I've hoping to improve this like that.

YES this is the best way to improve. Download any good AI pack (scv3, infai, etc) and there will be plenty of bots to fight against to test your mettle.

I just take a normal stock AI and ai extra teams when I beat all the currently added teams then I continuely add more once all the current added teams are beaten.

Depends on the weight class, but some good general AI packs are:

InfiniteInertia AI
Starcore AI (v4 is the hardest, of course)
BBEANS AI
ReStocked AI
PYS AI

It depends on what AI pack and which weight class.  As far as downloadable bots go, Nuclear Fallout is currently one of the wedgiest HWs in stock RA2 (lol shameless self-promotion).
