Anyone think they can pull off Snake from Battlebots Season 2.0?

Back before the game even came out, I said I wanted to play as Snake...

If this was pulled off, whoever did it would be my god.

Preferrably the Season 2.0 battlebots version.
The big black thing on it's back end spins like a drill/drum, and the front end is a massive clamp. The bot can bend in most just about any direction, but you can improvise however you like as long as it goes somewhere in game.

If you pull this off, that'd be crazy.

No, we would have to edit the physics and programming of the game. It would be extremely hard to do, and besides, Infogrames doesn't want us editing Robot Arena 2.exe (there might be a few tweaks an changes that we could do if we ever wanted to, but changing the physics and programming of the game is not allowed).

Oh, well.

This is as close as I could get. Two opposite-facing sets of 3 in-line burst pistons with hexplates inbetween to get the triangular sections. I have very little control aside from trying to go forward or backward and letting the physics engine cry. It's incredibly unstable and the designated front end is pretty much detached and flails around.

It is fun to watch, tho.

That looks really good for a replica with no custom made parts. Its also the only Snake replica ever made.

I almost made one that actually worked... it was too weak to lift itself up.... but now I got ahold of this crusher servo motor, so I should able to do it. :twisted:

I think I'll work on this before I get started on the arena map. :wink:

Ok, I ran into a lot bulding problems to get the crusher motor and earthquake burst servo in but had to go with a bit different method than what I had before.
It may not be Snake... but very close, I give you Nessior.

I could but you'd need both DSL:TC mod and Firebeetle's Component Pack V4.1 installed together to have my bot to work.
