Smaller arenas?
« on: February 23, 2007, 08:56:40 AM »
As I've noticed, quite alot of the DSL arenas are large, but could they be too large infact? Take the DSL tourney arena for example. Now the DSL tourney arena has quite a large and impressive area of play, with hazards in the corners and a low wall to give flippers an advantage, but it seems that it's bigger than it should be, asthough that big space is wasted. If we remember back to the RA2 tourney arena made by Lu-Tze long ago, it was big enough for plenty of action, yet was small enough for the bots to really get stuck into eachother and cause mayhem.

In conclusion, I think it'd be rather nice for there to be an arena like the RA2 tourney one, where robots are forced into a battlebox (much like in real life) and forced to fight for their right to come out alive.

Check out the recently released Small Arena by Firebeetle--it was designed to be smaller than other arenas for LW fights.
