A) They're not really used in IRL building, outside of dustpan designs
B) They outwedge EVERYTHING
C) Very easy to abuse in the design department
D) THEY OUTWEDGE EVERYTHING
E) They look pretty fugly
F) I abused them on an old bot years ago and took home second place in a big tourney despite the robot being ass, which started this whole "skirts are illegal" debacle
G) There's plenty of examples of crap or mediocre bots getting good places in tournaments because of their wedginess, almost unfairly so. Read also, "wedge war".
H) Turns RA2 into a pushing contest rather than anything to do with design
I) Come on man, be original.

Did you also say that THEY DO OUTWEDGE EVERYTHING?

Bots irl just don't use long paper thin sheets. I would've thought you got that bit 😉

If you can skin them they can be fun for artbot pieces.

Don't use skirts the way they're used on crazy DSL-S robots. Use skirts the way they are used on robots you've seen in real life.

That's actually called static wedge pieces.
