Title: Skirts in DSL: How do I use them?

yes, i checked the faq's, this wasn't there.


i've noticed that it's virtually impossible to get under the AI skirts, even with skirts on my bot. this is getting REALLY annoying. could anyone tell poor old Hydro how to do it?

It's just a matter of fine tuning. I tried my first bot in DSL with skirts, and it was able to get under Cranky Spanky and Second Sentinel. :D

Skirts do have to be fine tuned, but you should also look at other, usually superior wedge designs.

try one long skirt on a skirt hinge thingy, then angle it down and test it.. if it doesn't get under bots then angle it down more.. keep repeating.

And but it BELOW the chassis, so that it will press the skirt down.
