is there a replica of SGT Bash?
if not im going to try to build a replica
but i need a flamethrower
LT component does my pc go like :vista:
so who knows a flamer suitable for this
kindly regards
Rick
-
the flamethrowers in-game are worthless, so don't use them.
-
No. There is no Bash.
-
which flamethrowers are there?
i do have one it think it came with dsl but it doesn't work it's a strange square with a hole in it other suggestions?
-
the other one is a cheatbot2 part. it looks more like Bash's, but the same combat effectiveness... or lack there of...
-
Flame throwers are effective, but you need a spike to do the killing blow.
-
well, i can never get them to fire, no matter how many air tanks i have.
-
You need a button or an analog control to use them.
-
analog? i thought they only used buttons.
-
how do you use the cheatbot thing is there a thread?
-
you name the bot cheatbot2. the screen will flash and the announcer dude will laugh.
-
BUT, you need the 1.3 patch to work.
...if you use a CD.
-
stock or dsl?
-
Stock.
In DSL, you get a flame thrower by default.
-
no, i mean, analog. you can use it with a flamethrower in dsl?
interesting. this should help me lots...
-
Yes.
In fact, its the second weapon in the list.
-
i mean i didn't know you can wire an analog control to it in dsl. or even stock.
-
i tried but when i wired and tested nothing happend
please help
EDIT found another working flamer
im now busy with the chassis shape!
-
I am busy with sgt bash i think the chassis shape is quite good but i need to work out the cannon and the claw better
any tips or suggestions are welcome

It's lookin' alright!
One thing, there are easier ways to show images, like uploading it to GameTechMod's image hoster and copying the first link.
But yeah, that replica isn't looking bad :P

i was searching for a image hoster but i didn't want to make a account
thanx for this
Rick

No problem :gawe:
-
You don't need to make an account for an image hoster.
Next time you post and want to save an image, click on 'manage attachments' and you can upload your screenshots.
The images will appear as small thumbnails in the post which can be enlarged.
-
Host your pics in there: https://gametechmods.com/?do=indexih and post them on the forum.
Nobody wants to download a pic.

When the game first came out I made Sgt Bash Jr. and thought it was the smallest bot possible.....and it WAS the smallest at the time.

NOW, even this bot made with 1/2 square in the bot lab is not the smallest possible.

How the...
-
dosnt look like the really small one has motors
-
You guys inspired me to try my hand at making a Sgt. Bash replica. Here's how it looks:

Strictly for display purposes, but I'll share it with anyone who wants.
-
wow, that looks SO close to the real Bash...
good job :-D !
-
Not bad at all, Sonny.
-
its kinda good it only needs a bit more detail texturing can i try?
Rick
BTW were did you get the flamethrower
-
Sure, but I used a lot of custom conponents. You'll need to download Beetlebros, D1/D2, DarkRat and Lu-Tze
The flamethrower is stock, you can access it by naming your robot "cheatbot2" and then looking under Mechanics.
-
I've made a lot of progress the mechanics are done now i only need to find a solution for the wheel do you like it?
i would like to get comment about what could be changed to make sgt even better
the next update will be about detail texturing the last minute changes and making bash his ride as smooth as possible
the bot will be released with update 4
Enjoy
Rick
btw maybe ill make a movie tonight
-
no offence, but i think it looked better before. that one looks like a miniature monster truck version of Bash IMO.

do you mean the wheels
what do you think that i can do to let it look more like sgt than a:truck:
Rick
-
1. make the chassis bigger and darker
2. put the wheels farther into the chassis
3. make the bottom part of the claw more like Sonny's
that should do it :-D

do you think i can fix point 2 with taking other wheels and if yes which wheels
at point 1 the texturing part is still to come
and do you really think i have to change part 3
because when i googled a image of sgt it had 2 claws and not one claw and a tooth
Kindly regards
Rick

You're definitely getting there, but on such a small robot, you'll want to use smaller versions of the parts. Here's some suggestions:
Use smaller wheels (I'd go with the rubber wheels as they're called), and move them further into the chassis so that part of the wheel is hidden.
For claws, use a cutting tooth attached to an extender; Sir K's claws will prevent your wheels from touching the ground. Also, make the lower claw static; if memory serves, only the upper claw moves on the real SGT. Bash.
Elevate the flamethrower just a little, the real Sgt Bash has its flamethrower raised a few inches above the base.

the points will be finished with update 3
i have a small update i made some custom decals

You can edit your robot's skin in a picture editing program like MS Paint. It's a lot easier than doing it all with the paint shop in Robot Arena.
-
i used ms paint it was a piece of cake
but what is difficult is making transparent tga decals with alpha layers
