You need to run it on something less alcoholic than wine.
I think it's the fact you may have something else like MSN running up when a new chat window pops up while playing. I've lost many a good but when some stranger pops up on Ares. (Where I got RA2 btw.)

lol
wine is a windows programm loader for linux, unix, bsd, or mac

Thank god, I thought you were saying you poured wine down the blasted thing!
Does my suggestion work?

Ahh. I have also tried this. I believe that this game isn't compatible with WINE yet. I tried this twice on my Ubuntu 8.10 computer with WINE and it didn't work, as I had the same problem with not being able to click.
I don't think that WINE is going to work for RA2 for a long while.

I think it has to do with Python on wine
I tried it on Slax, TRCKML( a linux distro that i am making), and Ubuntu 8.10
:vista: windows sucks!

Maybe an older version of WINE?
I have no idea about anything with programming, so this is just a suggestion.

I looked on the wine website for robot arena two. I only could find stuff about robot arena 1. ra1 does work but it is a little slow and the menus are really laggy.
-
Well my Windows XP is a complete bitch, and so i'm looking forward to get Linux and to use Linux only. It's seemingly lighter, less laggy, more stable, less virus...
BUT it's worthless to get it if RA2 doesn't works on it.
Any other ideas than that wine ?

I'll try it on Arch Linux + Wine on a MSI Wind sometimes, and if it doesn't work, I'll look for some way of fixing it.
I'm happy there are other Linux users here :P
