The Epic of Robot Arena 2

In a world named Robot Arena 2, battle and strife eternal is all that matters. The undying, human-like struggle for dominance and power, and the unending will to demonstrate such power. Bards, Warriors, Mages, Assassins, all sorts of disciplines and walk-a-likes come and hone their skills amongst their brethren and companion, from the smallest of fleet footed fighters to the largest of hulking beasts. These battles may be earthshaking, they may be minuscule scuffles or massacres achieved by domination. The size, the cast, the effect, none of these matter.
The ending of words is Strife Eternal.
Our story starts with Assassiness.
==============================-----------------------------------=====================================
Assassiness, who'd been eagerly awaiting the Arena since the day she was created, now stood at the Arena wall. Her shiny blue metallic armor gleamed furiously, highlighting its various spikes and blades. Her matte black helmet, which resembled that of a rhinoceros' horns, did exactly the opposite while still exerting furiousity. Her opponent, a yellow quadrupedal centaur of sorts, waited for her in the arena while strafing back and forth and turning, waving its stalagmite-esque weapons and getting reactions from the crowd. A regular in the Arena, it seems.
Assassiness entered the Arena, feeling the weight of the crowd's cheering and excitement on her shoulders. She flipped out her hidden double-edged blades as she neared her opponent. She was Steel Reign, and this could be her Son of Whyachi.
The announcer introduced the Arena to the crowd, and then introduced the contenders.
"We have a newbie today it seems! Say hecko to the Newcomer folks, as her name's Assassiness! Coming in at 391.4kg and adorned with spikes and blades of all sorts, it seems like she'll be a tough nut for our regular fighters!," the announcer bellowed. "And what a regular we have here today! You all know Groovy Taxi, right?!" The crowd exploded with cheers and excitement. 'Groovy Taxi' dug its hooves into the floor, spinning and flipping its stalagmites wildly.
"The contestants are armed, the Octagon is set, it's time to break in a newbie!," the announcer shouted, prompting the horns to sound, and as if clockwork, Assassiness and Groovy Taxi rushed towards each other.

Instantly, the two clashed, stopping each other in their tracks. Assassiness backed up to set up another attack, but little did she know how bad of an idea that was as Groovy Taxi rushed her, stalagmites outstretched in front of him. He knocked her off of her feet and continued his momentum, slamming Assassiness into a wall, barely missing one of the arena's Pulverizers.
"Ouch! In the name of Grog, what a hit!," the announcer boomed, prompting the fans to scream and cheer over him. Groovy Taxi dropped Assassiness, backing up to show off a bit to the crowd; more cheering.
"...I'm not going to survive this fight if I try that again." Assassiness thought to herself. "Gonna have to try side swiping him then."
She faced Groovy Taxi and steadied up, readying her blades once more. She darted at her opponent once more, the same way she did the first time.
"Ha! You Shtoopid kid! Aye'll crush ye in no time!" the centaur bellowed. But, little did he know what she had in store.
She shifted her feet and darted past him, outstretching her blades just enough to tear into the centaur, who was surprised by this successful attack, and became stunned. Perfect. Assassiness took no time at all to face him and dart at him again as he faced her.
It worked. Groovy Taxi couldn't react fast enough and soon enough, Assassiness slammed him into a wall.
"Well well!," Groovy Taxi grunted through clenched teeth. "Ye'rr a tough lil' kid!"

"You're finished!," Assassiness growled. Regaining his bearings, Groovy Taxi shoved her off of him and instantaneously rushed her. Bad idea, very bad idea. As if by instinct, Assassiness jolted her blades upward into his arms, causing him to drop the stalagmites on the floor.
The crowd was quiet. What did this mean? Did Groovy Taxi just lose?
"Groovy Taxi awaits at our newbies mercy... Will he be mercifully saved, or bruta..." the announcer didn't get to finish the sentence.
"He'll be brutally murdered..." Assassiness whispered under her breath, and in a quick and precise maneuver, tore the blades out of the beast's arms and ripped through its body with them, spilling its blood all over the two. Time seemed to slow down, Groovy Taxi's face twisted into that of a surprised horror, blood leaking out of his mouth. "Kch... Kch... Kid.," he sputtered before falling.
The crowd, for a few seconds, did not know how to feel, and then from silence, cheers erupted throughout the Arena. Assassiness had completed her Rites of Passage. She was a newcomer-gone-crowd-favorite in only one match. Removing her blades from the corpse, she turned around, raising the bloodstained blades towards the sky.
"It isn't rare for us to have newcomers, but to have this happen; This is a one-in-a-million occurrence, folks! Aaaaand, on to the next match!"

Clicking a Beetl
------------------------------------------===================----------------------------------------------
It'd been a few days since she'd defeated Groovy Taxi and after rest and recuperation, she was ready to take on another. From what she'd heard, this one was almost as new to the Octagon as she was only having fought a few more battles, but she'd also heard that he was a tough cookie, like her. How much of a tough cookie though? The answer was only an arena wall away.
The announcer from last time was the announcer this time; he did the commentating for many of the local arena fights. In his exciting, booming voice, he introduced Assassiness and her next opponent.
"Today we have a real treat for you people! Two of the newer but dominating competitors, head to head, face to face, Disk to Blade! Entering from the right, we have Beetl! In his first few fights he'd proven to be a bullheaded competitor, shredding and banging his way through the other battlers, but will he shred his next opponent as easily?"
Cheers erupted throughout the stadium, this crowd was easy to please, it seems.
"And to the left," That was her indication. Darting into the arena in a flurry of front flips and landing, near perfectly on the left end of the arena, she faced her opponent. "She's baaaaaack, Assassiness! Her first fight against one of our regulars was a surprising one, but surely enough with the flick of her legs and the swipe of her blades she pulled through and took the victory! Two dominating newcomers, two surprises but only one winner! If this were any sweeter we'd have Dentists on hand!"
Beetl was pretty heavily armored in some places, not as much in others. The vicious looking disk he wielded, however, was most concerning to her. He didn't look as agile as Groovy Taxi though.
"The Hellraisers are primed, the Pulverizers are ready, the Octagon is set, time for bloodshed!" the announcer roared, an excited crowd following his tracks. Eyeing that disk, Assassiness darted towards Beetl, who took his advance towards the former.

Instantly thinking to block Beetl's disk, Assassiness lurched her blades up in front of her, crossing them like an X. His disk began whacking away at her blades, sending sparks across the arena. Her blades wouldn't hold much longer, she had to do something.
She moved forward causing him to back up, the disk still beating away at the blades, occasionally knocking her guard off. She waited for the perfect time when her guard was broken, expecting him to lift his disk up and score a body blow. And that's
exactly
what he did. She charged at him before he could bring his disk back down and drove the blades into his armor.
Nothing.
This won't be good.
The blades bounced off of his armor and out of shock she let her guard down. Beetl took no time at all to grab her and spin, slamming her into one of the starting positions. He lifted his disk high and ripped it down, barely missing her.
Regaining her bearings she charged at him again, swinging her blades at his disk and using her body as a plow, pushing him backwards.
“Beetl,” the announcer began. “Are you going to let
a girl
push you around? I’d be more cautious if I were you, the pits are about to open!”
And open, they did. She saw this as a perfect opportunity to finish this fight off, and slashed at the disk with both swords, breaking off a beater bar and damaging the chain.
