New to robot arena 2 and dsl 2.1 i see u guys building these amanzing bots iv tried alot to build bots like u guys do but just not getting anywhere with it..... i want just like 1 ownage bot to learn off from and to base a build off from just dont know where to start if maybe 1 of u guys could help me out in any kinda way that would be sick! anyways fellas get at me lataz

The best way to increase your skill is to start a showcase. Post pictures of your bots there and we'll tell you how to improve them.

Just read the showcases man, and try to get general advice from them.
You might copy a few designs fo learning but don't make it an habit.

I like the way you think. You show a level of creativity with this bot that shows nice potential. However... we will pick it apart and haze you. muahahahah! (just kidding, sorta... welcome to the forums)
My first tip for you is to try to keep your chassis as small as possible on your bots. Think of the chassis as the heart of the robot and you need to protect it in order to survive. If you make a small chassis and build your bot around it using extenders and crafty workmanship the bot will survive better. Protect your chassis, don't over expose it. There are exceptions though (like popups) But as a beginners learning experience I would recommend making some horizontal weapon based spinners with a small chassis, in which the spinning weapon protects the bot instead of the chassis taking the hits.

I think Im Fine For Now Man... On The Fighting My Own Bots Just Trying To Learn The Ropes Of Building Some Terror lol. I Almost Thought About Learning How To Build A Spinner Bot Iv Seen A Tutorial Of Over Lapping Parts For Them Tried It But Didnt Get The Same Thing The Tutorial Was Showing Me.... And Yes I Kinda Expected To Get Laughed At Being New HaHa Its Ok Im Learning From It Sooo If Anyone Wants To Help me With Or Give Me Sweet Spinner Tips Im All Ears

@Your bot: f you want to implement that in DSL, well just have a try, i would recommend having a look at Doomkiller's and 123's showcase. They both do implement the FS design a lot.
The design has potential though.

This bot used to be a real terror in it's day (before wedges were put on everything...hint, hint) you have enough weight left to mount yours on a burst and still have room for wedges on a burst.

Looks Sick For Stock!!!! I Love Iron Spikes There Nasty But Iv Been Learning How To Build Wedge Pop Ups I Think Iv Got That Pretty Much Down....Now Im Having A Prob With Building Spinners Stock Like i Tried Using Servo Motor 302 Low Power Attached Extender Arm To It Did That Thing Where u Place Battery In Middle Attach Motor To Arm Rotate And Over Lap The Battery But Then When i Go To Spin The Spinner The Sh*t Goes Nuts And Starts Flying All Over The Place I Guess Im Not Getting How To Build Spinners. I Need a Really Good Tutorial or Help From Somsone With These Spinning Bots Thnx
