What have I created???

(NOTE I am still a newcomer to the RA2 site A.K.A. Gametechmods, please forgive me if I have posted this topic in the wrong place).


Well today while playing a bit of DSL I noticed I had a random bot in the game upon further inspection it was not a robot from the Bot Exchange. So I must have made it. Anyways it looks quite wierd and perhaps it was a failed attempt on making a pop-bot since I do recall paying DSL 2.1 last night. I must have not clearly remembered since I was tired, and I had token medicine for my cold. (The medicine made me drowsy but enough of this stuff). Anyways i'm trying to found out what type of Bot Type it is because I have no idea what I have made/created.
I have also supplied a few pictures of the bot below. (Note, that when trying to view the image right click it and click to open in new tab to view the whole thing, or you can just zoom in if it's hard to see).

Ooh, you build bots when you're high?  That sounds like fun, I hope more people get on that.  We don't have a classification yet for that kind of bot.  It's the same principle as the popup - bots drive up the wedge and get spiked - but not as effective since you're hitting the sides instead of the underside.  I guess we could call it a "bear trap"?  It looks like the perfect design to thwart Razer.

So I created an Unknown bot type and your saying I suggest giving it a name for the type of bot? From what I know it works something like that of a clamper, and a little bit like a pop-up, but it shuts into the center of the bot (on the top) Hmm I guess ill call the bot type...

Jawbot with this one being a horizontal one? XD


or I guess beartrap could work too

EDIT: I have upgraded this new Bot type I have given upgraded it's overall speed, weapons, and armoring. Below are pictures of the recent upgrade. I have also noticed this bot can indeed self-righten, although it takes a bit of time to so and in some cases needed assistance.

Reminds me of a side popup, I'm sure they've existed before. Cool concept anyway.

Oh, and if you could convert your images to png/jpg and upload them to the GTM Image Host (on the front page) rather than getting us to download 1.5mb bmp files, that'd be awesome

I vote for bear trap, it has a better ring to it. Its different none the less. The power of cough medicine hard at work here!
