joelcool51,
I've tried to increase the number of user teams, but found that the infamous exe is not written to receive any more.
The only way I know of to make more teams available is to write a dos batch file that switches another 'set' (or couple sets) of teams with the original set.
I wrote a simple batch program for my own DSL-TC 2.0 that exchanges 2 sets of 16 teams. The only minor 'con' per say is that I quit the game before I switch sets of teams, which is really no big deal for me.
Having certain teams set up with specific bots is very convenient: You can keep certain 'kinds' of bots together without losing them in the Robot Design directory: Team1 is for checking out new bots; Team2+Team3 are my Rammers; Teams 4-8 are spinners;........ Teams 20-24 are expeimental proto-typical 'beta' bots; Teams 25-32 are non-stock-componented bots. (I also wrote a program that gives me 45 AI teams to chose from, and can also battle in 'Events', greatly increasing the variety of opponents faced.... but that's some involved work.)
If you don't know how to write such a batch file yourself then I would help you with this if you want, though right now I am tight on time.
Hope this helps. Let me know.
