...But has anyone ever tried mounting wedges on pistons and shooting them under your enemy for instant wedge pwnage?
-
I think a noob tried it once by accident.
Sounds like a good idea, but i doubt it would be a very good wedge :P
-
Why not? The piston itself can be snapper mounted so you combine a good wedge with über shooting action :gunz:
-
Its probably something you should have tried yourself first for the sake of being the first person with the idea..
-
Pistons still have a bulky mesh so the wedges need to be really long (which would be impractical in nearly every design) or the bursts have to be mounted high up (which also ruins the wedge). Equipping it with a speedy drive would have been the ideal solution.

I did try this once, but I couldn't get it to work. My wedges are notoriously bad anyway, so it wasn't much of a surprise. =)

Why not Piston > Burst > wedge?

Derp.
I just realized the bursts can be raised but the arms are facing downward so the wedge is actually shallow. >.<
And AFAIK attaching bursts to more bursts = instant epilepsy on the F2 camera.

Too late, I tried that back in 04 and it doesn't work.
