I have seen people with 3000 weight robots. How can i do this?
(P.S. I AM THE HYPOTENUSE HIPPO!!!!FEAR ME!!!!)
-
use antibalstists(sp?) download it at gametechmods.com/rfshq/pafiledb.php
-
Exactly what goose said.
Just make sure that you remember to remove the antiballast before testing/finishing, else your bot will go crazy, fly off the walls, and destroy itself.
-
I can give you instructions how to make anti-ballast on your own when I get home.
Okay.
Go under your components folder and find text file called ballast1.txt. Now copy it and paste it in and then rename it for example anti-ballast1.txt.
Now open the file and then replace Ballast with Anti-Ballast in that name section.
Now make one new line under all those text and type this in. mass = -1000
Now when you add this anti-ballast in your robot it is 1000 kilos lighter so now you can build super heavy robots. When you have finished the building remove the ant-ballast and test your robot. Otherwise it will just fly out of the terrain because that is so powerful anti-ballast.
You can make also lighter anti-ballasts by replacing that -1000 value by for example by -500.

I use this little marvel in the clickbeetle/firebeetle pack(WARNING: CHEAT COMPONENTS) called 'antimatter neutron star piece'. the size of one grid square(the DSL one, the stock squares are twice that size) and it weighs like, -1000000000007950589430 or something incredible like that. very handy little part if you ask me
-
haha i can find ballast2.txt and ballast3.txt but no ballast1? weird. any guesses?
and i cant find "mass" anywhere in those 2 either.... :'(
EDIT: doh didnt read ur post...oops...still no ballast1....
-
Then just set the mass of one of those ones to "-xyz" and in-game look for the ballast component you modified.
If there's no "mass", just add mass = -10000 somewhere into the file.
-
ah ok thanks. gonna go kick some ass :D
-
So i figured I need to find this ballast1(or 2 or 3).txt and edit it, but uhm, what if you don''t have any ballast#.txt files at all? hehe, only found ballast.gmf in the components folder, and not one ballast.txt file
-
You will need to decompile the Components.cfz found in the main folder.
The easiest compiler/decompiler to use is Lu-Tze CFZ compiler found here https://gametechmods.com/Patches.php

:?: i am srry but I cant understand where to put the ballast file, would some one be so kind to tell me where and how exactly to add the ballast txt to the components please?
thanks
-
how exactly and where does the ballast txt file goes??? i have ballast folder with files of format GMF but not txt files with the name ballast can some one explain this please?
ANd what file should I copy to the components folder???
I tried with some anti ballist i found here but they seem not to work or i just dont know how to do it (which is more probable) so
the antiballast goes into the ballast folder along with the GMF files or with the text files where i could not find a ballast.txt
I know I sound noob and yea i am at this :?
thanks for your help
