Hydro's "Electric Armour" Component Pack
« on: April 23, 2009, 01:04:34 PM »
yes, i've discovered how to make my own components. soon i will have an "Electric Armour" package, consisting of plows, ram plates, extenders, weapons, and possibly the chassis (if i can figure it out...). these components will "shock" other bots when an impact between the two occurs. be advised these will probably be over/underpowered as i have only started to mod the game this morning. yes, that makes me a noob in the art of modding, thus i have much to learn. but i'm excited  !!!

that sounds really cool, but if your releasing a component pack for them all then it wouldn't make much sence to put on as a prize for clash cubes would it ? your free to do whichever but I just think everything in a pack together looks really cool compared to releasing all but one :-D

It's very doubtful that it actually shocks the other bot. With exception for a zapping collision sound.

It can't actually 'shock' another bot unless it utilizes coding written in the arena.py or an AI.py.
But it can do concussion and peircing; and along with an 'electric' sounding wav file, it might look pretty cool.
Input is appreciated. :)

OK, people, the Shock Pack WILL happen. just let me make a few more components (and find my damned paper that says what does what) and i'll make it occur!!!

Eh... could it be atleast SOMEHOW balanced if you're going to have it in the DSL section of the forums? Totally unfair parts.

Sorry, but it doesn't take much effort to research into component stats and use them as a guideline.
