Hypothetical regarding tournaments
« on: October 24, 2011, 02:26:15 PM »
I know this is very unlikely to happen, But if by some bizarre fluke a bye bot were to win a match, would it advance? And if it does, and continues to get fluke after fluke, eventually winning the tournament, Do we declare it the champ or what?  I had a really bizarre dream last night...lol

I'd assume that that'd be up to the tourney host. In NQWR2, the bot that isn't Dr. Crab PHD (bye bot) goes though, regardless of the outcome of the match.
How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.

That's why the bye bot is deliberately terrible. =P

It is an interesting hypothetical, but I suppose we don't have much choice other than to declare it the champion. I've got no idea what else we could do. I still remember back in Wild Robots Live 2 when Reier lost to the Byebot. It still didn't get past the Pod stages, though.

It's down to the host's discretion, typically you'll advance regardless if you face one. This isn't always the case.

I think I'd be at least half tempted to let the byebot advance if it won a match, just for the humor aspect of it alone, but wouldn't anyway.  It might be funny if it won one match, but if it continued to win, that'd be a pretty lame outcome.

The byebot's just in NQRW 2 to give every bot a round 1 fight. They won't even be separate videos for me, just a series of matches in one video.
Better than GK since 2009.
I think SM is a pretty cool guy, eh builds unicycle-bots and doesn't afraid of anything

Me thinks that byebots should be allowed to advance, but they need to be deliberately terrible so it's the builders fault if they lose :gawe:

I just wouldn't use a byebot at all... save on film time.

Except for BBEANS.  I thought my idea with BBEANS6 was pretty cool (using a really powerful byebot and awarding bots a win if they beat it, but not penalizing them if they didn't).  Too bad I ended up not needing it.
