You guys have made quite a few FBS and such. I've came up with a way to AI them.

Reactive AI!

Using Mad's attachable smartzones, you can make them AIable. Here's how:

Metod:

Attach those SZ to extenders at these angles:



The front ones make the bot go forwards, but the back and side ones make the bot turn so the front SZ faces the opponent. This AI could work with full body spinners and full body drums.

I like the idea. Could make for more of a realistic FBS charge instead of wating for your opponent to come to you.

Like this, but bigger range and attached to extenders and not the chassis.

I'm not sure it's well understood yet, S-32. Why don't you give more detailed explanation for the laity.
 
BTW: SZs won't attach to component APs(extenders) without BFE. But SZs will attach anywhere around or away from the bot, so you can put them wherever you want, even across the arena.

sorry missed the thread, I'm liking what im seeing just figured it out (explanation is a little vague) and think its really great, should stop full body spinners being counted out when the other robots don't run into them

could you post up a video when you get the chance ?

The smartzones detect where the enemy is and drives in the direction it was detected...

Hmm, I might be able to (Try) coding the AI myself by rewiring the S.O.W AI.

I think I know a way of programming this without using any smartzones...

Edit: Feel free to make a SZ version because I won't have time to work on this until next week.
