Title: Favored Hybrid type
Post by: Naryar on May 20, 2008, 06:33:37 AM: What hybrids do you like the most/ build the most/ are more efficient, according to you ? Or you dont like them?

The most efficient type must be VS/HS.

Vertical Hammers/Rammers are cool (my speciality. dont think this design is used a lot, excepted Rammers/Side Hammers)

Rammers/ Flippers are really efficient too (Acmme Moving Men).

Rammers/HS are decent too.

Pokers/Rammers are pretty good.

HS/SnS are very efficient (SpyGuy from Inf)

Finally, Side Hammers/Vertical Hammers are pretty good against all types of spinners if well used.

Not a Hybrid. SnSs either have moving or stationary weapons. I've never really seen a SnS hybrid of any sort. SpyGuy should be known better as Spin Cycle M, I didn't think you'd know of its alias since i fight it online under Spin Cycle M...

Post by: Somebody on June 16, 2008, 03:11:47 PM: My favorite is a flipper/hammer combo. I have one bot that has 4 spike strips on DDT's, and a Snapper2 with and extender and a single-sided pick-axe, and it kills stock bot (but then again, almost anything with a weapon can)

Post by: Naryar on June 17, 2008, 03:22:57 AM: Flippers/hammers are pretty difficult to do effectively, especially in AI. Because the theory of the hammer is: the closer your opponent is to the ground, the more damage it does. The longer the swing is, the better is the damage. So if you lift a bot and hammer it at the same time, it does less damage.

My all time favorites stay Hammer/Rammer and Spear(poker)/Hammer.

EDIT: Remembered it on the moment of posting. I once made a cool face spinner/chopper hybrid. But that was way back in the days.
