Has anyone seen this before? If you press F10, it gives you a camera with no restraits, you can go anywhere.
-
1.3 patch?
-
I actually havent even tried that, I always have the the orbit camera, the (ALT+)F4 camera.
-
Lemmie try.
Edit:Cool!
Wheel: Pan forwards and back
Left: Turn camera
Right: Pan sideways, up and down
I see new arenas for tournaments being used!
-
nice this should help with placing components that are far away/blocked by other components.
-
In the arena, dumbass, I'll try it in the lab to make sure...
Edit: Thanks for wasting my time, next time, I'll strangle you though the moniter.
-
oh...
-
I've never tried it in the bot lab. It's good for arenas with lame camera views, like the DSL Blade arena.
-
also good for filming tourneys with special effects. like "riding" on a bot then hopping to another bot.
-
That post is perfect for failblog.org.
-
lol i get my post now!
-
It actually isnt that bad of an idea.
-
ill porbly do something like that for my tourny.
like the camera is actually fighting alongside the other bots.
-
It was made available in the 1.3 patch but in my experience it is only good for looking at the arena because it is too hard to use when your controlling a bot and the orbit camera is easier to control when all the bots are AIed, anyways. I think I added this to the wiki already but I may be mistaken because I have a lot of notes that I've been meaning to add to the wiki after I get them organized.
On a side note, if you have also have Firebeetle's cheat menu installed, you can use the tilda (~) key to open a larger version of the FPS window (F9) that automatically loads plus.showFPS(0) (this allows you to use the print command without it disappearing right away).
