Hi, I'm new to this forum. So hi.
Well, I was browsing through some of my Discs that I left in one of my rooms, and I found Robot Arena: Design & Destroy. I used to play this game a lot, and well I'm starting to play again.
I looked through one of your showcases and I was wondering how do I make a Drumblebee 5? It looks really cool, so does anyone have like a tutorial or a .bot file of it?
Or if anyone else has some really good bots, if you can post a tutorial on how to make it or post the .bot file of it, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks.

Yo
There's no tutorial, it was just made like any other bot. Try cloning stuff for a while until you get your own style and become pr0 like me. :trollface
-
I suck at making bots. I made a horizontal spinner, but I can't make a vertical spinner or a Drumblebee. :FFFUUU

Well there's some very helpful tutorials here
Basic http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/ra2techs.htm (http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/ra2techs.htm)
Advanced (very advanced) https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php/topic,4512.0.html (https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php/topic,4512.0.html)
Also, I'd start a showcase if I were you, it helps a lot. And you get to brag about your mad skillz.

Reier, can I talk to you in that chat? I have some questions...

I have Drumblebee 5 on the bot exchange (link is right at the top of the site) under stock heavyweights. Check it out and look at how the weapon is set up. The weapon is really very simple, just requires some tricky rotating of round extenders to get the spikes facing the right way. For that, it helps to know that each "click" of rotation is 10 degrees.
If it's hard to clone the weapon, try it with square extenders first and then do round extenders once you figure it out.
I also used axle loading to get the spikes all oriented at the same angle, but you can easily just rotate them to stack at different angles and it's basically as good. Most really serious bot builders are just OCD about getting the razors facing the same way.

Clickbeetle, how do I know where the green position things are on the round extender? Is there some buttons that I could press to see those little positioning things when I go to place it on my chassis?

It's a custom skin Sage made

Do I just put the Sage Pack in the Robot Arena 2 folder? And how do I use it?

if you only want the red extender with attachment points on it, then only copy + paste the extender_round folder in the pack
-
Then where do I put the file?
In C:\Program Files (x86)\Infogrames\Robot Arena 2?

close, put it in the components folder of wherever you keep your copy of ra2

Okay, I just extracted it so that the folders and the .txts are in C:\Program Files(x86)\Infogrames\Robot Arena 2\Components.
But when I go to add an extender, I still can't see the little green positioning things when I go to place it on the chassis.

they should be on the tips of the extenders
