The Record Committee will skim the showcases for possible records. 12 members could be apart of the Record Committee.

Out Of The Ordinary Record Contest
I will only accept 4 people in each challenge. Each of them will have to create a bot that tries to set a specified record (for ex: largest/tallest plow formed by dsl parts). The challenges could be stock or dsl. The contenders will get a week to make a robot that tries to set the bar for a record and put it in a splash that requires name, bot's name, weight, and a brief description of how you enforced the challenge into your bot. Voting will be 2 days long (vote by how well the challenge was enforced) and each record holder will be posted on the first page of this thread.

The largest plow on a Super Heavyweight. DSL parts only!

sorry I but dont really agree with this type of set out, I think there should just be a list with people "bringing" the records to that thread people dont have to fight for them but you can try and beat other peoples

sorry but this to me just seems like a tournament you made up using an idea from that thread, not really what some people were talking about

this isn't a records thread this is a tournament just like the design tournament, skinning tournament or BOTM

everyone should get the right to break any record whenever they want not just when it comes around to that month

that is how I think it should be as far as records go, if you want I can help you fix up this thread and set it up how Guinness World Records run theirs

Then you would make this a robot building competition,

dont get me wrong this type of format is fun (I should know :P) but I just dont think its right for a records thread, I really think we should have it as a free for all...

doing it this way will let everyone get involved, everybody gets a chance to break any record they want or can think of

This should be quite a nice trend in the world of RA2.
The signups for the out of the ordinary challenge will end on November 14th. So that means splashes are due the 21st (my 21st b-day)!

I did some tweaking to the first post for you :-D

also took out the custom part in the out of the ordinary contest when it said can be stock, dsl or custom, because custom just takes knowledge not skill :-D

I think the building challenge may be hard to get the amount your looking for.. look at the latest BOTM, only 3 entrys in 1 month

I was going to help you out with this thread but I no longer can now its been moved into General Discussion, I would have liked to have seen this take off... shame
