I've had it in original RA2 since after I built Swampengeist and V-Shape Mind. I still havent made any sucessful RA2 bots since then...I have made quite a few mediocre ones.

my only problem is that the bots i want to build use the main chassis as their primary armor, and the armor ratings didnt seem to get upgraded to match the new weapon powers in DSL.................

does anyone have any suggestions for building any decent bots with DSL, i have no idea how to build with dsl parts here apparently, because every bot i have built is no good, the armor is like plastic compared to the weapons...........

Use the extra armor plating components like skirts(these are my favorite), snowplows, etc. or improvise by using FBS panels or DSL bars for armor.  I have found that bots with unarmored fronts tend to die fast unless they have a mean spinner to keep bots away from the chassis.

I think I will be posting a couple lw's, mw's and a bw pretty soon.

Here is my only good bot so far:

Notice how the plates are on a DSL bar.
This thing is invincible to most spinners, but have an obvious disadvantage from hammer attacks and the like.
This mod has more strategy involved, there are not as many god bots around.
(Which can be good)
Also, consider manuevering.
Would you rather dodge: a spinner's attacks, a hammer attack, or whatever else you can think of?

Drive defensively or build a tank. :)

Drive defensively or build a tank. :)

I've tried that... Not very easy, especially since the original cannon is too big, and Lu-Tze's are too small to look like a tank's.

By 'tank', I think he just means heavily armored.  Like put armor plates on your bot to protect the chassis - good advice.

btw that was some bump.

One suggestion is- you don't need that many batteries. Two orange batteries is probably enough. Then you could add more spikes on the tail. Also see if you can give it fast NPC motors. They're a lot faster than mag motors.

if your talking about my bot, let me say this:
Two orange batteries isn't enough for me.
Ever see me drive?

I like scorp 2.0 the way it is, and I do not like NPCs.
The collision box is messed up and I think it weighs too much...
