Quick heads-up before you post on the forum: Sticking around a long time has it's benefits, so hang around, make a showcase, get invested in the community, and most of all, have fun.

Also, think before you type. Notice the reputation of each user - the higher the reputation, the more respect that individual deserves overall, so, respect your peers.

And pay attention to colored names-

Black and Brown- Regulars and Roboteers, sometimes they're veterans and sometimes they're just dudes who are here. Sometimes they're kind, wise and helpful and sometimes they're not. Roboteers differ from regulars because they've built and competed with actual robots and that's cause for merit.

Gold- Advanced Users. These are usually either people who've added to the community in the sense of the game, or have been a positive influence to the community as a whole. Usually pretty nice guys, otherwise they're realistic but with good intention.

Purple- Veterans. These guys have been here longer than the website has in some cases. They have 5-12 years of experience being here under their belt. They're like our forum Dumbledores, Gandalfs and Merlins.

Dark Red Maroon Brown Thing- Tech Advisor. We have (2? 3?) of them here, and these are usually the guys who devote their brains to the mechanics of Robot Arena 2 as we try to get as creative as we can with the limitations we are given. Serge isn't really around anymore, but 123savethewhales usually is.

Pink- the Forum Sweetie. There is only one and she never comes around so don't worry about that one.

Blue- Global Moderators. Say hello to Naryar, our Glomod. He lives for justice and breathes law. He's also a very decent french fellow and knows a thing or two about building efficient killing machines, especially while drunk.

Red- Administrators. We used to have sort of a panel of administrators, but everyone gets busy eventually and now we have Trovaner, our main administrator. He's a nice fellow, usually busy doing what a Tech Advisor would do or trying to improve this forum for us, or handing out justice and breathing law.

The weight-class below the username only means post count. It essentially is useless. UNLESS it is one of the above mentioned. So if you see a person who is Ultra Heavyweight, it means the are just a regular guy who has been here for years. Some people have special ones, such as Spiderweight (Urjak). Sometimes these fall through and are lost. Other times they are not. They are rarely granted.
TL:DR: If the rank below the name is a different colour, please listen.

Oh, and a tidbit: Dan made a error when in the options there is  something called event size. Set it to 4 players or the DSL events will not play. Which is why he could not play in the robot wars arena, and why the event changed to Robot Scrapyard.

If I could add something to the top post, Nerd Cubed was using the DSL mod, which many people find intimidating when they're just starting out.  "Stock" is the easiest version, and a great way to get a feel for the game with no pressure.  I highly recommend starting there and taking steps up as you find yourself needing more as a challenge.

Also, for the record, if you are confused on the forums by DSL standard and IRL, DSL standard is using the best components possible. It seems to have been nerfed in DSL 3 beta, but it is not gone. IRL is what Nerd3 did. Also, incase the man himself is wondering, if you rotate the extender 90 degrees (zoom in and look closely at the polygons and shape etc) you can have it so the side attachment points allow for both on the side, and not in the way Dave 3 was built.

Arguably - lack of axle supports. Besides, it's probably better to just leave everyone to do what they want without worrying about classing it, but to clarify your statement, IRL is making robots that could easily exist in real life, including supports for spinner axles, etc.

This, it's just bad due to lack of game knowledge as is a lot of peoples first bot.
