I thought I posted about this once but I can't find my topic so boom - here's a new one. Does anyone remember my original AON Bot Wars videos series (http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLE2A0C8BBBAC560C3)? I ran it over six years ago on my old Alphaforum (anyone remember that archaic thing?). AON2, the sequel, is still at it and the latest episode, Heat 9 (http://youtu.be/vWW56cNIbaQ) just went live. Check 'em all out (http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL735D1906033F4D17) and lemme know what you think.   ;)

Ah, yes- I certainly remember it. It's a good series, but I can't help but feel a little annoyed that all the good robots (IE. U2 III, Double Demon) are all going out in the Heats.

Thanks! I'm happy with the skins too, and the arena fits the series to a tee.

I remember this. There was one bot called HeadHunter or something. I think they inspired me.

You and Wild Robots were generally my inspiration to start Havok Combat. I thank you very much for that. It is in the display tournament topic.

I was planning to do something simillar but I have no time for it. I wanted it to be a tribute to robot wars with intro, new arena, robot information and all that.

It's time-consuming but very rewarding once it's done, because if you like it it'll be there to watch (pretty much) forever.

I know. I may do it some day. I need to get back in touch with Trovaner for the arena and I need to build more realistic MWs. And I need to install that expensive video editing programm again.

No, I've not played any of the F-Zero games. It just sounded good. I probably heard someone say the name and then my subconscious liked it.

That's what I hear. There's no reason I've not played them; I've owned all of Nintendo's home consoles. I guess they just slipped by me. Maybe I oughta look up the Gamecube and N64 versions at Gamestop of something.

hey alpha  :bigsmile: your videos are what actually inspired me to start hosting tournaments, however i never could figure out how you got that stats to show while the video was playing in the same frame. We have all had to stick with static splashes in most parts, care to share your secrets?  :rolleyes:

It's actually trick editing. If you're referring to AON1, I took a video pan of the bot, grabbed a still of the last frame, and put the stats and whatnot on that. Then I just faded/blended the video into the still shot.
