You can edit .bot files with whatever editor that doesn't change the file format. I use Notepad++ 3.8.

In case you're scared by the illegible parts, just skip them. You can't do anything special with them AFAIK. The meaningful ones are from about halfway of the document to its end.

Or if you want to mess with AI bots just copy bot0, b0t1 and so on from their folders in AI and team folder. Then paste them to your robot designs folder and open them in the game.

It should work. So easy. :D

Weedy forgot to mention that you should also do only one team at a time, otherwise the Bot0, Bot1, and Bot2 files will constantly try to overwrite themselves .... either that, or rename them team0 bot0, team0bot1, etc.  That's how I have all mine listed, so I know which robot is on which team.

what i ment was some sorta DECOMPILER (like BINI) so i could actullay read the file.

("junk" refers to all thoes ASCII characters insted of code. ex: [list=])

Well. I assumed that no one isn't that dumb that tries to overwrite the bot files everytime and everytime try to copy them again under robot designs folder if some of the robots are lost in the game. =P

You can't edit bot files with Notepad because the preview picture and skin get corrupted when you save.  (Well, you CAN edit them if you remove the preview pic and skin first, but that's kind of complicated.)

Bot files aren't actually compiled, so you don't need to decompile them.

You can use Notepad++ like eFFe said (not regular Notepad) or a hex editor like XVI32.
