Cheers, wish you didnt let me see his face to be honest haha. Will have a look when I'm home.

Don't worry about the skype, apple problem at the moment. There is plenty of waiting time till you can learn, assuming your in this for the long run. Best wait until you complete your Battlebots mod before I teach you the complex stuff otherwise you'll end up making everything again like I did!

I wouldn't mind teaching a few people so they can make a Combots Mod, seeing as its one of the only Robot Fighting Shows still around you can get help and sponsorship from roboteers and the company themselves.

Here's a pic of the prototype, so you can have a sense of scale:

And don't worry everyone, the final design will look MUCH more accurate.

looks sweet so far mate, I'll get the chin/scoop thing sorted for you tomorrow evening.

Badnik, Its being started up again under new organisers but the arena is undergoing a massive rebuild to meet FRA Rules & Terms so they can come to Europe.

Do you mean the World Combot Championship? Because this is the first I've heard of ComBots starting up again.

I don't think so, at least it wasn't under that name. The website did mention that the robogames rendition of combots has been stopped and that they owned the arena and promo gear and they were renovating it all.

I discovered the link on the FRA, i know your on there as I sent you a PM. If I find the site again I'll send you the link.

This is probably off topic but

As for mods, mods are only as good as the effort and time people out into them. There is much for to be improved other than the components, arenas and UI. Hopefully when this is out, there will be better graphics, new sounds and music and better animation. I have to admit this will probably be the biggest thing since DSL, unless 123 has tweaked the sounds and/or graphics. I do understand he's trying to add more weight classes and stuff so he's definitely getting somewhere. Will there be more people like him, myself, and the DSL crew? We'll have to wait and find out.
Sorry to disappoint you but I am more of an econ guy than a programmer/3D graphic designer.

The only goal I have is game function, i.e. that components are balanced, collision fits well, easy to use, and works well with havok engine.  Looks/graphics/sounds are sadly neither my strong suit nor my interest.  All I wanted was a competitive platform and spend about 10x more time in the inner working than the outer skin.

The self-enforced weightclass change is purely a work around for the havoks engine.  Dropping the weight of all the components in half improve performance significantly.

Finally, a 1:1 replica of Pizza Party!

How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.
