It wouldn't quite be the same without the side decorations though. Resetti said he couldn't do them.

Herbinator = Boss replica though.

You said about not skinning the sides, would a decal come out distorted?

Yeah, unfortunately it does the exact same thing. The component-skinning thing might work. I wanted to do Raging Reality, which will be tricky since the component has to be almost the exact same shape as the side.

Steg-O-Saw-Us was built sideways on a custom grid texture containing a side view of the original robot, so the chassis shape is around 99% correct.

I've wanted to do a replica of Black Hole that actually works, and here it is. The blades are d2_pussycat blades. This is a tiny but feisty robot, to give you a sense it scale the discs are somewhere between the size of #1 and #2
