Pay Tribute With Replicas
« on: May 29, 2008, 04:57:13 PM »
Just starting up an old thread from the official forums. Jack Danials and myself started making a few replicas and decidede to start showing them. If you have any replicas post them here! Just to let you guys know Jack Danials is amazing at replicas while I suck but enjoy making them:)

JACK IF YOU STILL HAVE YOURS PLEASE POST PICS.

Since I lost all of my pictures heres the only two I have at the moment. First is Spawn Again. A pretty powerful flipper that world fairly well in game. It can flip other bots out of the arena pretty well. It has roll bars on the back so when it gets flipped it rolls back over very nicely. Not that great of a skin but oh well.

Second is Bigger Brother. Actually not that bad of a bot in game. Its flippers are powered by 2 snappers and its got hp ztek drive. Its spikes do damagae too.

that one is good. maybe use a chewblade instead, and paint the anglers black.

Yes.

I hate that bot, but I've never noticed that he has a small saw for weapon.

Looks good as always, both of you. I lost intrest in that replica pack I started awhile ago, maybe I should get it going again to get myself back into the game.

Thanks for starting a new Replicas Thread Scrap. After I post a few more of the bots that were on the old thread from the (RIP) RA2 forums, I will try to make time to make some new replicas.

Here is Wacker:

Nice job both of you these are very hard to make especially with the limited amount of parts on RA2.  GREAT JOB.

Yea, SD + JD, those look real nice.  You guys are 'skin doctors'.
Input is appreciated. :)

So, I've done some thinking, and decided that we only need one replica thread.  To save space, I won't repost any from "Resetti's Replicas"

Shark Attack, a bot with a shovel scoop in front for getting underneath robots and trapping them.  It also has a waggling tail at the back, just in case you'd need that.  The only shot I could get was one of its fight against Behemoth, so I apologize for the quality

This bot made one brief appearance in Season 3, losing its first match to Behemoth.  Incidentally, it was built by the same team that made Banshee

I like Frostbite.  That's some creative use of spiked clubs for the weapon.

Riptilion, a flat circular bot with a propeller and claws for thwacking.  It's from New Zealand and proudly displays the white fern. It also has the ability to sidestep by spinning just one wheel, helpful for a sursprise attack, or getting out of the way of an enemy.

Thanks for merging threads Sonni. I really like your replicas because I am not familiar with any of the bots, so it is always a neat surprise when you make a new one.

SMIDSY, a robot with hydraulic jaws for taking a bite out of the opponent.  The name stands for Sorry Mate I Didn't See You.

3 Stegs to Heaven, Another robot from the Steg-O-Saw-Us team.  This one has a saw blade at the front with extenders that serve as casters

W70, a good indication of when I've got too much time on my hands.  This bot is from Sweden, and was made from an old pool cleaner.  The weapon is an enormous spinning cage with blades attatched.  It's a very slow robot, so its tactic is to spin in place and hope someone runs into its blade
