DSC's Skins and Things (requests welcome)
« on: July 27, 2011, 04:15:15 PM »
Decided to start a new topic in the appropriate place. Started to reskin a few items , planning to do both Stock and DSL components. But I am also posting this to offer my services to skin components and bots for people too! Can either be realistic or silly/fun skins. Requests can be made here or via PM.
With that said, here's something that everyone uses to kick things off:

Big Volt replacement

Nifty replacement

Do you think you might be able to give one of my bots a good skin?

Sure. it'd be no problem to open myself up to skinning bots either. :approve:

Battery skins look pretty sweet. If a bit pointless if they're never going to be seen outside the Bot Lab. Nice work, anyway, which program do you use?

I use Paint Shop Pro 7. Old as dust, but does 90% of what Photoshop does and for no cost. ;)

And I agree with the pointlessness, but they're nice uncomplicated objects to get started with and to show the quality of the textures.

Yay, paint shop pro :D

The new one is really unreliable if you plan on getting another- 12 is good :P

Oh, and I may request a few skins. Something I still should learn to do, but haven't had the motivation. :P

Emergency Snowplow

Plan on making a few more of these based on notable Stock/DSL AI, and a few other bots. For whatever reason this snowplow is mapped better than the one in DSL. Odd. (Based on the SD_Snowplow)

Very nice. Looks much better than the Emergency Plow we already have.

Sweet!

Could you try re-skinning a snowplow to look like the background of this

Thanks, it works good, now I nearly finished a RA2 replica of that ride, as soon as I manage to fix up stuff I might create a full working version of it.
