Okay, since Kill never unlocked my other lego topic, here’s a new one.
First bot. It’s a drum spinner.
Gear trains that power drum had to be doubled to prevent fracturing. Trust me- when this bot hits another object, that’s 12 oz. of spinning legos hitting that object at around 1000rpm.

Drum actually spins, thanks to a ratchet and 2 large gear reductions, connected to the right wheel.

What's it's name?

ThunderDrum.

New bot.

Spinner rotates when bot is pushed.
-
When you have really crappy wifi, you need to make a separate post for each pic.
Here’s the bot without all the armor.

Flipper.

All of these look really well made broski. And that drum in particular looks freaking terrifying.
-
Lifter. If only it didn't look like a "brick" on 4 wheels! Can lift other bots of its size.

Nice!

Nice!
I'd like to see more of your lego bots. Your builds fascinate me.

Thanks! I do plan on showing off some new builds, but first I've got to organize my legos.

True,
But you don't always need orginazation to build something mind-blowing!

Here's a love letter to you people, who love drum spinners.

Push it just a little, you get a lot of noise from the gear train.
Push it a little fast, you start to feel the drum roar like a jet engine (like Minotaur's.)
Push it very fast, and it feels like the bot wants to jump out from under your hands, due to gyroscopic energy.
Push it too fast, let's not go there.
Drum can spin up to 14,000 RPM!

When are you going to post another lego bot?

When are you going to post another lego bot?
It's gonna be a while. I'm not building anything else until my legos are ogranised. I've made LOTS of progress, sorting out the parts by type, organizing the types into bins...and that's pretty much it. All that's left now is labelling bags and bins, which I've made progress on. Once that's done, I can finish up and show off my new and improved house robots, and then the competitors!
-
I'm starting a collection of small LEGO Battlebots, that will be available for DOwnload. These designs will be for LDD.
-
All of these are awesome! Does anyone know where I could buy a lot of parts for building some of my own? By that I don't mean the normal legos, but of the Technics/original Mindstorms with controllers.

Lego.com.

They still sell the old Mindstorms?
-
NXT, I don't know if they're still manufacturing, but you can still find it here...

EV3, however, is new, and is still being made. Here it is.
