Title: NASCAR Racing 2003 Showcase
Post by: HurricaneAndrew on March 26, 2012, 09:26:55 PM
Post your skins you have made for NR2003 cars here. If you don't have NR2003 I can take them and put them into the game and take a screenshot so you can see what your car actually looks like in game.

The PSD skin templates for each make of car can be found in this RAR...

Here is the only skin I have at the moment. It will be used in Badnik's GTM Cup.

I plan to make more fairly soon.

I'm sure that you can get a less-than-legal copy, but I have a hard copy that I paid about $80 for on Ebay. Hard copies are difficult to find and expensive.

Edit: Actually, I'm finding that the European release is less expenive, for some reason. So you may be in luck.

Meh, I would rather just download it somewhere

Well, try that one site with all those less-than-legal downloads. I know you know the site.

I really think you'll like it. It's modability is equal to that of RA2. Plus there is a rally mod available.

I've seen the Rally mode. I lol'd when I saw it, in a positive way

Using spoilers to keep this from being too huge-

Here's my cars for the 2012 GTM Cup:

I've done a ton of stuff for Nascar 09, still have most of the files so I can probably recreate them in NR03 at some point, here's some of them:

Irn-Bru

Sun Drop

Miskatonic University (HP Lovecraft reference)

Slurm

BFG Tech

I like that font you used for the numbers. It's got some style, but it's simple enough to be legible from a distance. Good contrast between the numbers and the colors of the cars, as well. They look great.

The only thing I would suggest would be a thin stroke of the secondary color on the numbers to give them a layered look.

Thanks. Here's another one I just did-

I'll probably enter it for the next season, which means I'll likely have to do a few tweaks to adjust for changes to the car model/template, but that should go fairly fast.

I'm using Old English Text MT for the numbers. I think it's a nice balance between being a bit odd, but still legible and realistic enough to look right.

Actually, if you send me that like now, I can get it in for this season if you want.

That one is awesome. Love the use of the pattern in the white areas. Reminds me of the RaceWraps that seem to be growing in popularity.
