I'm not much into DSL, so let's hope that these rules are OK, and what You wanted.
Also let's hope, that the people will be happy with my "DSL3 choice" and "all things cleared in the rules" this time.
If something is not in the rules, it's probably a loophole, this time.
I will judge is something legal, if it's missing or unclear in the rules, so feel free to ask.
[moverightslow]I wish good luck to all entrants  :claping [/moverightslow]

It means You CAN'T do this :

Press F12 in the bot lab to see the green collision meshes, none of them must pass thru the red sphere bound.
Because this will cause spawning (when the bot is about to load on his start position) problems on some arenas.

In stock you can snapper load stuff way out the right side from a snapper far to the left and swing it around, creating a huge bot that extends outside the max sphere. This causes problems when you try to load the bot into an arena as it could spawn partially outside of the walls.

Venko beat me to it >.<

I'll probably enter.

Do you have to upload the bot as well as the splash or just the splash. (BOTM is quite new to me as this will be my first entry.)

It's DSL3, people would enter no matter the rules.

Yes, 'cos they may get disqualified, which will be not a problem, since I'm expecting like a 20 entrants at least...
not to mention some are useless, impractical or just plain silly
I just wanted everything to be clear this time.
If You don't like the rules, You can... You know... not enter at all  :trollface

I'm of the opinon that BOTM should generally just be a deliberatly vague ruleset that you can go wild with, because thinking outisde the box and trying something different what makes it fun! It stifles it a bit when there are even restrictions on how to make your splash. If an entry needs more than a couple of screenshots to make it look good, then I'm fairly sure the entrant will include a couple. And a forced "Thanks, Click!" probably isn't the best way to show appreciation for DSL3 when a genuine comment would work better.*

Besides, I thought Venko not entering was a given considering ACAMS said it, as was not including any pointers as to who made it, as BOTM has always been anonymous.

*Thanks for all your hard work on DSL3, Click! I love the new extenders. They help tremendously in the fight against the rule of seven.

You should made your points on the discussion thread about this BotM that I made, now it's kinda late...

Some people still make lame splashes.

It was not always anonymous... Some of the rules are a bit more of a bad jokes, than something serious.

ACAMS don't just copy+pasted the rules here, there are some corrections he made from my PM, so I suppose that he is OK with every of the lines, if it's not removed (some was removed).

1) I'm British. It's hardcoded into our DNA that we like to complain after nothing can be done about it.

2)
You need to PM me the rules for next months BOTM
The "other stuff like stock for example..." didn't get enough votes to get an attention.
ACAMS needs this PM as soon as possible, so no more time for discussions.
Basically, I'm going to send him :
MW
DSL3 beta only
IRL
And the most nazi rules of all time, that will make the loopholing this time imposible.
I think that they are very well made, even that I'm not much into DSL...
Good luck to everyone, this thread is about to be closed.

By the time you mentioned the "nazi rules" you were sending the pm off so I couldn't have said anything anyway.

Oh well nothing that can be done about it now i'm sure we'll get some lovely entries regardless.

1) :laughing
2) If it wasn't the "multibot problem", I probably wouldn't made them "nazi" for this one.

Me too. I will know for future what to do, from now on. And the good news is, that I will not make the next rules for sure
