Well, an Anything Goes BOTM generally features things like TXT editing, reskinned stuff, BFE, or even completely new components. It's generally the builders most skilled in those fields that tend to do well in these BOTMs. Take a look at December 2008 and December 2010 to get an idea of what comes up.

It's not strictly forbidden, you can collaborate with builders and submit a joint entry. You just can't submit a joint one and one of your own, that counts as multiple entries. You can sometimes get top level builders like JoeBlo and 123 teaming up to make something like Seige Tank a few months ago, you just need to find someone who's willing to work with you.

I want to do it on my own, but I'm just no good at bot building.
I think I'll try and learn as much about bot building as possible before creating an entry (plus it'll help me in the future too)

Look, we cant help but look for loopholes.
All you said was "Build a bot", and "Anything goes" in the same OP.
By "Anything goes", we just naturally assumed we could make the robot about of whatever we wanted.
No need to go all crazy, were just poking fun at the rules, and having a good laugh out of it. That's all ;)
(Really, you know all the bots will be RA2 engineered anyway)

I have got some robots in my showcase but they are not good but I am buliding new robots at the moment. Also The BOTM will be pretty hard to beat so I am going to wait until there is one with just stock.

Blargh... I've got something started but I don't think it will be finished before the deadline.  I will finish it anyways though even if it's late so you will still get to see it.
