It actually ran faster than XP when I first installed it, and that's why I kept it. Along with the ability to stream WMP to my xbox 360. Although that overheated and no longer works.

I am running the "no frills" version, with the gray task bar and no visual effects, just to speed things up a tad.

Oh and I also disabled windows search and indexing services. Major resource hogs.

you saying you're 100% innocent with pointing out us giving the game for free? i don't recall torrents being very legal... same goes for a cracked version of Windows 7 (which i also have, but i can run anything properly here).
