I found it funny, probably because I already knew what you sound like and you were introducing your voice to people who didn't know it.

To me, it sounds like you at any other time. Everybody has a different perception of their voice compared to what it sounds like to others.

When I was on my cruise in Alaska, everybody said I should do audio books. That just seems...wierd.

To me, it sounds like you at any other time. Everybody has a different perception of their voice compared to what it sounds like to others.

That's because of the sound travelling through your skull, which combines with that which rebounds through the air to your ears, causing a different frequency and wavelength to be heard by yourself. Therefore, your voice sounds different to yourself.

See, I didn't think I had one, but now I've heard it, it sounds a bit like a stereotypical 'Local Radio Presenter'.

Actually, I've recorded my voice, and I sound the same to myself as I do on recording

(possibly the constant wearing of the headphones o.o)

that's interesting, and I suppose it would be because of headphones, because there aren't conflicting exterior and interior frequencies, so your voice would sound the same...

People with accents can't recognise their own accents,I have been told I speak with and American accent by my friends (Damn you Tv!) but I don't hear an American accent when i speak (or even if recorded and played back to me), I hear what I'd say is a "Normal" accent.

I've noticed they're influenced by different things(I don't even know any Americans irl), tv,people around you,radio,games etc.
Spend a year in Scotland and you will start sounding like a Scottish person,accents are a strange thing...

Sense, why is it not making it?As i said accents are weird... My sister has been living up north (of England) for about a year and a half now, she has developed a slight accent but she tries hard to suppress it.
