whats the world coming to?

Read the whole thing. He was suffering from stress, and this pupil was a ringleader of a group who were trying to make him snap. They swore at, taunted, filmed him. Eventually, he snapped.
-
A good slap is totally justified in this case, but attacking him with a 3.5 kg metal object ? I don't think so.
Hopefully he did it wrong hit it wrong so the kid did not died.
-
If the teacher gets stressed easily and does THAT to students who stress him out, he should take a less stressful job. I know a bunch of kids in some of my classes who would do the same thing (taunting, swearing, etc)
-
The problem is that he might have nowhere to go. That's one of the problems of being a teacher. Low salary and high stress if classes are undisciplined.
What really bugs me is that teens still act like assholes given that they already know what the teacher can do. To be honest, if I were the teacher, I'd bludgeon that student to a coma, just to get the rest of the class to shut up as well. Lack of respect given to the teacher means lack of mercy given to the students.
If I'm not mistaken, that kid didn't even apologize.
-
I'm on the kid's side 9001%.
-
I'm not.
-
I support the teacher in all of this. In fact, I think the kid and his little gang should be punished, too.
-
After reading the article again, it might be possible that the class misbehaved during that day only. But then again, he was stressed, which might mean that the class was misbehaving all the time.
But the problem still lies in the students. No one wanted to stop the kid from misbehaving. Instead, they picked up their phones and thought: "Hey, there's some good sh** happening here. Can't wait to upload it to YouTube." Only one pupil tried to get the teacher off the kid. Only one.
Remember the gang of teens who mentally abused a girl to suicide? And those batch of parents that gave some kid an address to a fake prom, while the rest of the students partied somewhere else? That's what those kids in the class are. Going along with whatever works, not giving a sh** whether it's right or wrong and just want to have fun. Those bastards should've seen it coming.

Hang on now, you can't blame the bystanders for not intervening. Peer pressure in that kind of situation is up to 11, believe me, I've been there and I can tell you that when a student tries to intervene, he becomes a source of ridicule.

The teacher shouldn't have attacked the boy, but I will say that the kid deserved a good beating.
-
I kinda now how he must of felt after ward, mind you I did not get into trouble with the law I could of bin. When some one is under that amount of stress then it only takes one word to loose it, I did, thats why my mom had a black eye 3 years ago. We argued she told me to shut up and it went from there. Instead of people pinning this teacher they should help and mentor him or let him verbally defuse on someone willing to take it for the sake of those students.
Sorry I sound like I'm ranting.
This stuff bother's me thats all.
-
The teacher should have just said, "Get the **** out of here, you little cunt!" Then, if he refused to leave, forcefully throw him out of the room and yell, "Who's next?"
-
Petty insults ? Hah ! A teacher should not lower himself to do that.
Death glares cast with all the spite you can gather are good, harsh words might have more effect but the most awesome way to get rid of a troublemaker simply involves you scoring a headshot with a piece of chalk.

All of wich in the UK results in being fired, sues for evey penny and branded for the rest of your life.
If you are going to jail, go out with a bang.
-
He was found not guilty.
-
Am I the only one wondering why the **** the teacher had a dumbbell right there?
-
It was a physics lesson. I presume it was being used as a weight.
-
Makes sense

What, there's no tenure in the UK?

To be honest, if the kid was trying to get the teacher to snap, then I say he got what he f**king deserved.
