I personally don't really know the criterion for Veteran. Maybe you had to be respected on the old forums to be a veteran now? But I have no idea. It's not a post count rank.

I'm not really sure what the criteria is now days, but I think I was bumped to a veteran because I was considered one during my first tenure in this community.
