Abe Lincoln was offered war elephants during the US Civil War by the King of Siam (if I'm not mistaken). Lincoln stupidly refused the amazing offer. For those not in the know, war elephants are essentially walking tanks. A turret with a gunman sits on top and the elephant scares the sh** out of everyone in its path.
