Hmm... let's think about this...

By this persons logic, believing in a God is infinitely better than not believing. What about agnostics? Are they only 50% evil? Also, by not practicing religion, people are somehow practicing evil according to this. Therefore, by sitting on our asses, we cause murder, rape, torture, etc.

Back to the believing in God part, Muslims believe in God too. They just call him "Allah." So, did atheists cause 9/11 then? Mabye if we prayed harder they would have changed their minds...

I am an atheist, and freedom of religion also means people are free to have no religion and not believe in god. And blaming us for everything bad that is happened? How would believing in god not make those things happen?

I more or less have to agree! This country was founded and based on the belief in God and the Christain way of life. Our currency has "In God We Trust" printed on it (for now.....obongo will do away with that if he get elected and not shot) and ever since God has been taken out of every thing......God has been replaced with terrorism and evil ways.

Religion is belief. Only reason our currency has it on there is because it was there before we made the free religion amendment. More people have been killed because of religion then almost any other cause. (see "the holocaust").

atheists probably find good old facts more reliable then 2000 year old scriptures that have been rewritten over and over again.

but what about people like me? i am a "ghost hunter" and the MODERN chuch calls this an evil endevor but the bible says that ghost are real and are not demonic. i have been
kicked out of 2 churches and asked nicely to leave from 1 one. if you want to see people that truly belive in god and his teachings you have to find a small country chruch. the BIG city ones for most part are so far from the teachings of god that its all polical and no faith anymore. i was a  Christain by birth but i tend to not go to chruch and insteed just spend time reading the bible on sunday. idk how you all feel about this but it works for me. i belive the bible not a man on a stage.
Holy crap they do exist!!!! :Rob2

Determinist bitch. Obviously she doesn't even understand the concept of freedom.

Millions of people have been killed because of religion. We have proven a lot of things that contradict with religion. Furthermore, there are plenty of atheists that have a strong patriotic spirit and that are needed by America.

Prayer in schools is BS. School is supposed to give the new generation most of the needed things in society (reading and writing, language, common knowledge, and it makes the kids work), NOT beliefs that you don't need to have in the current society.

And yeah ACAMS... several terrorists act in the name of God. "i can has 72 virgins?"
