Well, for that, I'd just choose the most popular versions of each, to make sure most are happy. I'm happy to adapt to DSL and standard building if this does go on, so I'd be just an extra.

Yeah, but what happens if a vote is taken to see the most popular and it goes something like this:
Stock - 40%, DSL - 30%, Ironforge - 30%
Sure, more people chose Stock than DSL and more people chose Stock than Ironforge but that means that only 40% of the voters would be happy because 60% wanted something else. There are solutions to this but I don't want to make GTM's voting system complicated if it needn't be :P

People may join whatever the winning metagame is anyway because it'll be the big one and they won't want miss out. Just thought I'd point that out.

Agreed. We'd still have to find the ideal mod for this. Id say either ironforge for simplicity or DSL for varied bots. (We cant forget burst motors passing straight through batteries, though :P)

Only slightly plausible solution there is, but honestly as great as the idea is we don't have enough people who build in all mods to fill each and every one to the same standard.

That is a good point, but this was just one idea to get gtm more active. Maybe a regular online thing could raise interest in ra2. IMO, it would be best to do more than once a week because of timezones and distances between countries, causing lag. We can only have 4 in one room, but this could be solved by having a room for each mod (Maybe more if it is successful).

Carrot and Playzooki did most of the flaming afterwords, so they're more to blame for the drama than Andy. This is some typical GTM drama though. Sometimes I think the drama is what keeps me interested, but I'll still call out the people acting a fool.
