No, I'm not remaking GTM. :P I'm starting my own RA2 forum using Invisionfree. It's not up yet, but it will be probably within the week. I don't intend to be a ripoff of GTM, but RA2 needs more than one forum. I mean all the old forums went down the drain except GTM.
The forum probably won't be as popular and it's not really it's own site (because of invisionfree), but hey everything needs a start.
I also need a couple moderators before it goes up. Volunteers would be appreciated. They need to be able to be on the forum on a somewhat regular basis. I only need a couple.
 
If anyone wants to join and/help out I'd appreciate it.

I mean why did Aceuplink, the official forums, and GTM exist at the same time?

Besides this isn't like the Wizforum. ACAMS had no control over that forum when it went down but for this forum, he does.

Also, were you around for inf and kill's robot refuge? :P

GTM will be better than my forum will ever be.
I've wanted to start a forum for a while anyway, and what should the topic be anyway which isn't common anymore.
I'm not trying to be a rival forum, this is just for fun. What's the big deal?

I was not pissed because they started the forum because everybody always wants their own web site and forum, it was the way they announced it that kinda got me.

The community was considerably larger in the days of AU, B4B, RA-R, RFS, and the countless other fansites. Having your own site can be cool, but don't take it hard if you don't get much activity.

if your keen to have a forum perhaps have it as just one for new ideas or discussions for n00b warz or something ?? perhaps a n00b warz showcase's for people to constantly showcase old robots ithout the expectation of comments to improve them or call them stupid ?

I have a small one on my site robotarena.info but its basically just a guest book for people to add suggestions for themes and clash cubes nothing to special as this site covers everything else

Well what SHOULD be the topic then? I don't want it to be your generic boring forum about a common theme.
I don't want just a gaming forum, that would be bleh. A few random games I like thrown together? Bleh. IDK if you guys have some good suggestions as an alternative I'm open to ideas.

How about you make a forum for those who are pure n00bs to the game.  They'll at least have some equal competition and it'll be more fair.  Then, if the desire, once they get some decent experience, mainstream them to GTM.

Who the hell wants to moderate a forum specifically for noobs?

If that was the gameplan I say sign up 50 noobs for the new forum, make Naryar the only mod.  Sit back with some nachos and watch the carnage.  (I would pay to see that)

But really... it should be a forum that Reier would want to be a mod for and feel rewarded with his efforts.  Even though he is the master of Noob warz, he shouldn't really be associated with noob-everything.

My suggestion. A robot arena based forum that is heavily influenced with your lego spirit.  There seems to be a ton of lego stuff popping up on this forum. I think there would be a decent amount of interest for a lot of the current members to visit both forums if all the lego stuff was kept on Reiers.

Just a thought.

you must buy a domain name then add yourself to google is the best possible way

One more thing. I know 'zeal hates "bloated government" but I need at least one mod to help out since It'll be kind of difficult to do it all by myself. I think I could, but it'd be hard. Moreso if I get a larger community. If anyone has the time to be on a bit each day and help out, PM me. I'd be really grateful.
 
I don't want the Lego forum to be like a GTM refuge (Don't get me wrong, I love GTM- it's just it's a different topic) so no requesting Robot arena subforums or anything. This is a Lego Forum.

As your forum grows the size of your staff will need to grow as well. For the beginning I would start with one moderator but expect the need to increase your staff size quickly depending on the influx of members you get. My old forum the Y3K had a staff of 3  moderators with myself and my brother as administrators until it went down.
