Just this monday we got a 10mb lightcable connection and it worked perfectly for all other computers in our house but not mine, and i was the one who wanted it and im paying the bill for it too >_>
So during this week, we have tried everything we could do but nothing has helped, so tomorrow its a format c.... *sigh* -_-

we cant help you unless you tell us what is wrong, or tell us what you tried.
EDIT: you are from Finland, you may not know what "1800" means. call your internet provider.

Ha! My Mac just lost a Windows system file ! And can't start of course.

The problem is the internet connection, its supposed to be 10mb but only for my computer its 1.3mb... We have tried atleast the following:
Changing the cable
Changing the port from wich it connects to the internet on the modem
Adding a new networkcard(is that correct?)
Re-installing network drivers
And my computer has not been in the topshape for the last month so it actually needs this, the startup takes 5 minutes and the mouse lags during startup.

Wich file it is?
Just missing hal.dll will make the windows not start. I tested this at school when it was on topic and the teacher actually told us to make the windows not start. We ofcourse had just installed some backup system and with it we fixed the computers.

It is the windows/system32/config/system file.
There is a copy on another windows directory, but I can't find a way to copy it.

You could try a repair install.
Edit: Allright, its fixed now, all i need to do now is to install all i need and want
