Why would you want one of those?

And yes, it looks exactly like Toecrusher: huge pricetag, worthless product.

they look cool, are magnetic (I like magnets) I could easilly attatch it to string and make it a string bot thwack, I could turn it in to many, many other designs, I could destroy stuff with it, they look cool.

For some reason it reminds me more of a push mower...

for some reason, it actually looks like one. push mowers are so freaking annoying. good thing i don't have grass growing in the garden.

It's too bad most precious metals are not magnetic.  Those things would be great for beachcombing. Though if you got the 300 dollar push one, I bet it would pay for itself in a month after hawking watches and other magnetic artifacts that people lose at the beach.

Why would you use a string to control a bot?

Because it's sparkey.

Buy dollar store fan motors, or go to the local Goodwill and buy up old RC cars. Learning to shop thrifty is a good skill to acquire. (Especially when you're a broke ass dude in your early 20s.)

Unless you don't have a "local" store....because the nearest goodwill is an hour away from here. We do have an awesome junk store that you can get cool stuff for REALLY cheap, it's awesome. :D For instance, I got a sweet old style eggbeater for 25 cents. It's like new as well.

Agreed.  I remember my lowest point in college was when I had exhausted my savings account and had to resort to cleaning my car for loose change to afford a few packets of Ramen noodles.  From that day forward I knew that I could survive on ramen no matter how poor I eventually got in life.  ^^

Edit: lulz... Reier's new Av makes me laugh.

Actually, I had it before you started being online regularly. :D Maybe like October 2008?

Not when the nearest town (4 miles away) only has 200 people in it.

Yep, JD... more than once, even.  Or a bean burrito at Taco Bell.

I figured if Moscow, ID has one, everywhere must have one at least nearby. I guess I should have listened to the old saying, "If you assume, you make an 'ass' out of Uma Thurman."
