Yet another school shooting
« on: September 23, 2008, 02:11:56 PM »
Yeah, it happened again. This time very close to the area I live in, Kauhajoki about 60km from here. You may have seen this in the news as I heard it was broadcasted trough atleast CNN and BBC.

This was very similiar to the shooting just year ago. The shooter posted a theating video on youtube one week before doing it. There vere reported 9 dead and many wounded and some minor injuries. What made me even more shoced was that few of my freinds study in the schools of the same institute, altough they all are in different buildings, but within 1km of each other. My freinds are ok because the attack did not happend in the schools they are in. And just like last years attack, the shooter shot himself in the head.

Edit: I forgot to tell how it went.
First the Black hooder and commando mask wearing man enters the school and opens fire and rampages around the school. 2 girls that heard the gunshots from outside as they were going inside, ran to the nearest shop in fear and told what they heard. By the time the cops arrive there was a fire going on and the school was full of smoke. They eventyally got him cornered in a classroom, where he then shothimself. The event lasted 1.5 hours and putting out the fire took 2 hours.

Edit 2: Forgot again, the attacker appeared to have a large suitcase with him wich was full of explosives and ammo, so he did have bigger plans in mind.

Edit 3: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7630969.stm here is the link to the BBC report.

Seriously, what the hell is wrong with people? This makes no freaking sense!

Doesn't mean it can be easily stopped, though..... cause society IS degrading,.... no doubt about it.
Input is appreciated. :)
-Arrogance is a quantity devoid of quality...
-As a client once told me "This is my story, and it's sticking to me!"
-Relationships these days are like the 'Arrival' section of the airport: a lot of baggage is being revealed in one place, and not a lot of it is being correlated to its real owners...

More people on Earth=More people on Earth who want to shoot people.
The common formula of human life.

its only been 7 months since the one at my school. This is way out of control.
one of the most frustrating parts is they had the guy in custody  yesterday(the day before this happened)

Agree with you goose and giga.

This eventually got in the news of Estonia too, but they failed with the map:

The red marked area has been part of Russia since the war beetween Finland and Russia 90 years ago.
