Post by: Skiitzzox220 on August 28, 2011, 08:29:41 PM
I know we already have a relationships thread but I want to hear everyone's opinion on internet relationships (Don't just say everyone's a pedo because even though that can happen it's not always gonna be the case)

DISCUSS

Unless the two of you are within a distance which you can traverse on your own, they are pointless.

Being in two different countries that do not neighbor each other is stupid. Period.

I should've known it was "succubus"

I know that they are not vampires... I meant bloodsuckers in the context that they will suck the life out of you.

Ooh look, a thread I can come into, sit down and have a nice friendly little chat.

I used to have a friend in real life whom I grew to love very dearly. I'd known him for about four years when, nearly four months ago, he was hit by a speeding car and killed. I'm not going to explain any more than that for fear of stirring up drama.

Death is going to happen in life, and no amount of dwelling on it can ever change that. Life goes on, and by avoiding things because of this death, you miss out. I'm not saying that you should not care about the friend's death, I'm actually saying the opposite. You obviously cared deeply for him, and I'm sure that he wouldn't want to see you unhappy, especially because of him.

The thing is, neither of us asked the other one if they wanted to get together, it just sort of happened.

One plus point, I think, is that you don't bias your opinion on what the person looks like. At least me and my girlfriend didn't for a long time, and I think that's a contributing factor to why we grew so close to each other.

My neighbour had an internet relationship, he was in England. She was in the U.S. However, they didn't let that stop them; he got a plane to the U.S, they married and I never say him again.

Sometimes they work. Me, nah. All my relationships have ended in fail. Now I say never again :S

Lol here's my theory, you tell me rather or not this is accurate.

Women are like Schrodinger's Cat.
Before they have something, they will want and not want it at the same time.
Once they acquired the object, then their emotion collapses into an observable state.
If the object is lost, they will revert back to the uncertainty until the object is re-acquired again.

In short, women does not understand themselves very well.  So it's hopeless for men to understand.

HAHAHAHA .... THEY ALL DO!

I can assure you, a woman is NEVER happy, you give them the world and they want the universe!
I thought it's like

"Do you want the world"?

"Up to you".

"Well do you"?

"Up to you".

"Well fine, here it is, the world".

"Why you give me the world for"?  Gets mad
This is one of the many reasons that I will never understand women
Lol here's my theory, you tell me rather or not this is accurate.

Women are like Schrodinger's Cat.
Before they have something, they will want and not want it at the same time.
Once they acquired the object, then their emotion collapses into an observable state.
If the object is lost, they will revert back to the uncertainty until the object is re-acquired again.

In short, women does not understand themselves very well.  So it's hopeless for men to understand.

All women I knew were all like this. I've almost completely given up on women.

Another one is if you spend a lot of time with her you're smothering her, spend less time with her and you're ignoring her. It's a catch 22 situation.

I actually talk to her all the time... It's just I can tell she wants more than what I'm offering.

I would agree with that for most women

I, however, am an exception - give me food and a computer and I am happy
Lol I don't doubt there are exception.  I mean you just seem depress all the time, and that's rather predictable.

I also seen men that exhibit the Schrodinger's Cat Syndrome.... They are usually referred to as queers.

I kept in contact with my GF (not goldenfox) all summer with Facebook. So I guess technically that's an Internet relationship.

I didn't know you'd met my girlfriend. =)

Seriously, that is EXACTLY her. She hates making decisions, although I'm no better, in fairness. Neither of us wants to upset the other one by making the wrong choice.

Double entendre alert. But I would be surprised, from what you've cracked up to be, there's reasons to believe that most women want you.

Funny you should say that. I'm actually beta as ****/foreveralone. I have zero self confidence when it comes to the opposite sex, and that has caused a pretty major problem in my life.

that's when you've gotta pop your collar and get a joisey haircut, and get a spray tan that makes your skin look orange. (hell it worked for the guy's on jersey shore !)
this is unless, you don't want the only women to be attracted to you guido's and sluts.

I always knew you had a penis.

Anyway, an internet relationship is a waste of time.  A relationship in the first place is kinda a waste of time to be honest.

Only in my mind

I have spent most of my life talking to Internet people, who are mostly guys like yourselves. I am easily impressioned, and thus act rather like the guys I have talked to.

I do have SOME feminine tendencies, if you count the constant strive for money as such (I collect rare coins and foreign currency, see)

True that. Single is the only way to be. Now if only I was better at convincing women to do one-night stands.

I don't get all this bitching about IRL when we are discussing Internet Relationships.

Teh iturnehtz is an entirely different medium than real life, and the human mind works waaaaaaaaaay differently online, due to how alien it is.
Take trolls, and whimpy faggots who act tough behind PC's for instance.

Wimpy faggots don't act tough IRL?  Right that only happens in universities, which is like a fantasy land in itself.
