Nice. How much RAM total did you buy? What OS are you going to use?
You got my vote for RA2 Wizard. Always and forever.

Didn't buy any yet, but I'm gonna get 16 gigs.

As for the OS, my bro is gonna hook me up with Windows 7 Home.

sh**. 16 gigs is ridiculous.

Also, MAKE SURE your bro has Windows 7 Home 64bit! if he gets the 32bit one, you can only use 3gb of those 16gb

Worry not, it'll be the right one.

4GB (= 32-bit address space).

Also, with PAE you could use all 16. But it's hacky and there are no reasons to use 32-bit systems, anyway.

I'm a math & economics guy, so I gotta ask, how much would a similar computer retail for?

No idea, but I would guess maybe $1,500 or so. But then, I'm horrible at estimating things.

Yes! Well, not the same company, but there's finally gonna be some new hardware released, in the Amiga spirit, and it looks kickass! The OS doesn't look half bad, either.

I'll be ordering the next round of parts Sunday or Monday. More than I was going to get this round, as my grades have arrived and $300 more is now mine.
