Post by: Badnik96 on August 26, 2011, 07:25:33 PM
It's supposed to directly hit the city of New Haven, which is like adjacent to my town...
Tomorrow  :surprised:

if I don't post for a while then it's either a) the power's gone out or b) I'm dead

BUT NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY WOOOOOOOO

Everyone is freaking the fuck out about this hurricane.  At the worst, it's going to knock out power for a couple days.  Everybody needs to stop being retarded and calm the fuck down.

And flash flood and flood damage, and sh** going through your windows or your car windows,  All cost MONEY to repair.  Just 2 feet of water can cause thousands of dollars worth of damage.

Being in Brooklyn NY I have to seal my basement door with duct tape and expanding foams.

I dunno, I'm just pissed because I live in southeast Pennsylvania and people are acting like it's going to be a big fucking deal for us.

I just spent all 5 hours of my 5 hour shift constantly ringing people's "emergency supplies".  For some reason they think having the power out for a couple days means they need to come into the store and buy bananas (yeah, we didn't run out of bottled water, but we ran out of bananas).

Bananas do happen to last a few days.  So why not bananas?

Bananas do happen to last a few days.  So why not bananas?

Why not stuff like water or bread?

Oh I forgot, MURRICA WE NEED CHIPS WHEN THE POWER IS OUT.

And yes, there were TONS of people buying potato chips.  More than there normally are, and that's saying a lot (lolmurrica).

Because old bread and water taste nasty and provides low carb, while potato chips and soda taste awesome and provides high carbs.

Now liquid bread, by contrast, is a completely different story.

It hit PR; results were a few busted trees, 3 days off from school (college in my case), a bunch of blackouts (my house was fine), and flooded roads

This topic is hilarious.
Oh, and I'm hoping I don't lose power.
....Then again, GTM is rather slow(post wise), so I won't really miss much.

AND OF COURSE, WE HAVE ENOUGH CHIPS/SNACKS/[everything] TO LAST THE ENTIRE (2 days?) STORM.

Nope, her name is Ellen...

I did have a shot at getting with a girl named Katrina once, though. I thought it was a bit lulzy.

Hurricanes at least strike with some warning...

You see, in Missouri and the rest of the midwest, we have these things called 'tornados' that strike with only about two minutes notice.

Just ask Joplin.

Where's my "I survived the Storm of oh'11" T-shirt?
